CHILDREN'S PONIES Equines may only be entered in one section; either horse or pony. All ponies must arrive between 6.00am and 8.00am on the morning of judging or between 6.00pm and 9.00pm the evening before judging. Exhibitors cannot arrive outside these hours as they will be refused entry. There will be a designated area at the stables for the vetting and passport checking. This will require the removal of the animal from the horsebox for inspection of passport, flu vaccinations and to scan the microchip. Only ponies in possession of a current height or final measurement certificate appropriate to their class may compete. This certificate should be issued in the current year by the JMB, SJAI or IPS or a certificate issued by a society or scheme approved by the FEI or issued by a National Federation affiliated to the FEI or a certificate issued by a society of scheme approved by such National Federation and must be presented with the passport at arrivals. Stabling is only available on the evening before your class. Stables (3m x 3m) will be provided for all pony classes with the exception of the Clifden High Performance Qualifier class. If a stable is required for this section, it must be booked with your entry at a cost of £30. If you require additional stabling for extra nights in any other classes, please book this with your entries at a cost of £30 per additional night. Equines may only be entered in one section: Either horse or pony. Correctly secured, protective headgear that meets the current safety standards must be worn at all times whilst mounted. Compulsory Vaccination against Equine Influenza - All equine animals wishing to compete at Balmoral Show must be vaccinated against equine influenza - no equine will be admitted to the show ground unless they have the following; A minimum of the Primary course consisting of 2 vaccinations, not less than 21 days and not more than 92 days apart A booster should then be given 150 - 215 days after the 2nd primary vaccination. An annual booster should be given within 12 months of the previous vaccination. All vaccinations should be properly documented in the animal's passport and signed by a veterinary surgeon and stamped with their official practice stamp to authenticate each vaccination. No vaccination should be administered within 7 days pre show. Please note: Foals should be vaccinated from 5 months. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure the above has been administered and all dates are correct. . |
