Childrens Ponies - Ridden
57OPEN SHOW HUNTER STARTER STAKES, PONY, MARE or GELDING, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 133cm. Riders to have attained their 5th but not to have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
58OPEN SHOW HUNTER PONY, MARE or GELDING, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 133cm. Riders to have attained their 5th but not to have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
59OPEN SHOW HUNTER PONY, MARE or GELDING, 4 years old and over, exceeding 133cms but not exceeding 143cm. Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
60OPEN SHOW HUNTER PONY, MARE or GELDING, 4 years old and over, exceeding 143cms but not exceeding 153cm. Riders not to have attained their 20th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
S48CHAMPION PRIZES, £50 and £25- for the Champion and Reserve Champion in the Show Hunter Pony Classes.

61OPEN SHOW PONY: MARE or GELDING, 4 years old and over, exceeding 122cms but not exceeding 148cms. Ridden by riders of the correct age for the height of their pony.

RIDDEN PONIES



Any suitable bridle may be worn. Bits must be used in their manufactured condition without any addition or modification to, or on, any part and conform to the requirements of the class. The bit must never be used to reprimand the pony. Judges will take into consideration the effectiveness and severity of the bit and bridle and their decision is final.

Ponies entered in the Show Hunter pony classes may also be entered in the Working Hunter pony classes.

Entries will be limited to the first 20 received in each class.

If insufficient entries received in the Show Hunter Pony classes, the classes may be combined.

All children with ponies entered in these classes, may be asked to unsaddle, saddle and lead their ponies unassisted.
