RACEHORSE TO RIDING HORSE SPONSORED BY ITBA Friday Main Arena Entry Fees: RUAS Member £100, Non Member £110 Stabling is included in the entry fee for the evening before the class only. Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association will present a quarter piece rug to the winner of this class. Aim: To showcase successful Irish bred or trained racehorses as useful and suitable riding horses. The horses entered in this class should demonstrate quality, substance, bone, correct conformation, presence, and true action. Rules: This class is open to Thoroughbred horses that have trained or raced in Ireland for a minimum of 1 year under rules either on the racetrack or Point to Point. Please note the number of entries in this class will be restricted to 15, if more than 15 entries are received preference will be given to horses with the highest number of racing starts as recorded by IHRB (Irish Horse Regulatory Board) Judging: To be judged on ride, manners and conformation. Judges will ask the class to gallop. Judges may ride a number of exhibits. In the event of a ride judge not being available, judges may expect a number exhibits to perform a simple show (maximum 2 minutes) to include walk, trot, canter, a simple change at canter, rein back, strike off on the correct leg, gallop on, halt and stand still. There will be a strong emphasis on manners, ride and training. |
