Entry Fees: RUAS Member £17.00, Non Member £20.00

A separate entry fee must be paid for each entry.

Condition of entry: Bulls or heifers may be of any beef breed and entered in the classes for which they are eligible.

Objective: To highlight the bulls and heifers which best combine the traditional values of conformation and the scientific values of performance data.

Eligibility: bulls or heifers must be:-

Breed by exhibitor.
Exhibited by a current member of Breedplan or Signet Beefbreeders Scheme and have a minimum of 2 adjusted weights at 100, 200, 300 or 400 days of age.

Judging criteria:
A maximum of 100 points allocated by the Judge for conformation within breed type.

Bulls: 100 points allocated for Breed Terminal Index.
Heifers: 100 points allocated for Breed Self Replacing Index.

For example:
Average - 50 points
Top 30% - 70 points
Top 10% - 90 points
Top 1% - 99 points

The 2 scores are added together to find the overall result for each animal present.

Exhibitors are advised to make sure that performance records for their entries and their herdmates are submitted before end of end March for processing.
