60SHOW HUNTER PONY, MARE or GELDING, 4 years old and over, exceeding 143cms but not exceeding 153cms. Riders not to have attained their 20th birthday before 1st January in the current year.

S47CHAMPION PRIZES, £50 and £25- for the Champion and Reserve Champion in the Show Hunter Pony Classes. 1st and 2nd prizewinners in classes 60 to 62 are eligible to compete.
S48CHAMPION PRIZES, £50 and £25- for the Champion and Reserve Champion in the Ridden Pony classes, 1st and 2nd prizewinners in classes 63 to 67 are also eligible to compete.
S52COMMENDATION - At the judge's discretion, a commendation and £25 may be awarded from the John Kirkpatrick legacy to an exhibitor in classes 60 to 67, who has demonstrated a noteworthy degree of empathy with his/her mount.
RIDDEN PONIES



Entry Fees: RUAS Member £75.00, Non Member £80.00
Stabling is included in the entry fee on the evening before the class only.

Ponies entered in classes 63-67 will not be eligible to also enter in classes 68-71.
Ponies entered in the Show Hunter pony classes 60 to 62 may also be entered in class 68-71.

Entries will be limited to the first 20 received in each class.

If insufficient entries received in the Show Hunter Pony classes the classes will be combined.

Only ponies in possession of a current height or final measurement certificate appropriate to their class may compete. This certificate should be issued in the current year by the JMB, SJAI or IPS or a certificate issued by a society or scheme approved by the FEI or issued by a National Federation affiliated to the FEI or a certificate issued by a society of scheme approved by such National Federation.

All ponies competing in Ridden pony classes and Show Hunter pony classes must present their height certificate when presenting their passport at the arrivals area.

All children with ponies entered in classes 60-62 and 65-67 may be asked to unsaddle, saddle and lead their ponies unassisted.

All ponies in Classes 63 & 64 to be shown in snaffle bridle ie single ring snaffle.

Balmoral Show is a qualifier for the Ponies Association (UK) Gold Medal Series to take place at the Ponies Association (UK) Spring Classic at Onley Equestrian Centre to be held in February 2023. 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed competitors in classes 65 to 67 and 60 to 62 will qualify. Qualification cards are no longer given out in the ring, however results will be verified by the office.
