S38 VERONICA TROPHY- for the highest placed SSA Area 21 (Northern Ireland) member riding her usual mount. The said combination to have participated in two SSA events in the current year.

LADIES SIDE SADDLE - BALMORAL CLASSIC COMPETITION SPONSORED BY BOTANICA INTERNATIONAL Entry Fees: RUAS Member £85.00, Non Member £90.00 Stabling is included in the entry fee on the evening before the class only. This class is to encourage a harmonious and elegant impression of the side saddle horse and rider combination whilst promoting effective horsemanship. Open to riders 18 years and over on 1st January of the current year, riding side saddle on horses exceeding 148cms. To be judged 25% conformation & action; 25% manners & way of going; 25% rider; and 25% turnout of horse and rider. After the ride around, the riders will be called forward to do an individual show showing walk, trot and canter on both reins with a canter extension on one rein. The judge will not ride the exhibits, horses will not be stripped. The judge shall use the mark sheet provided. Traditional habits must be worn. Fancy dress and Period Costumes not permitted. Silk hats are permitted to be worn in this class. Side Saddle exhibitors must declare for this class at the ring 30 minutes before the competition starts. This class is opened to any horse over 148cms and ridden by a rider who has attained their 18th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
