Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before 1st January in the current year. S44 CHAMPION PRIZES, £50 and £25- for the Champion and Reserve Champion in the Show Hunter Pony Classes. 1st and 2nd prizewinners in classes 59 to 61 are eligible to compete. S45 CHAMPION PRIZES, £50 and £25- for the Champion and Reserve Champion in the Ridden Pony classes, 1st and 2nd prizewinners in classes 62 to 66 are also eligible to compete. S46 THE E PERPETUAL CHALLENGE CUP- for the best pony in classes 64 to 66. S47 THE CALWELL PERPETUAL CHALLENGE CUP- for the best pony in class 65. Presented by Brigadier J Y Calwell, CBE CVO. S49 COMMENDATION - At the judge's discretion, a commendation and £25 may be awarded from the John Kirkpatrick legacy to an exhibitor in classes 59 to 66, who has demonstrated a noteworthy degree of empathy with his/her mount.

RIDDEN PONIES Entry Fees: RUAS Member £70.00, Non Member £75.00 Stabling is included in the entry fee in these classes. Ponies entered in classes 62-66 will not be eligible to also enter in classes 67-70. Ponies entered in the Show Hunter pony classes 59 to 61 may also be entered in class 67-70. Entries will be limited to the first 20 received in each class. If insufficient entries received in the Show Hunter Pony classes the classes will be combined. Only ponies in possession of a current height or final measurement certificate appropriate to their class may compete. This certificate should be issued in the current year by the JMB, SJAI or IPS or a certificate issued by a society or scheme approved by the FEI or issued by a National Federation affiliated to the FEI or a certificate issued by a society of scheme approved by such National Federation. All ponies competing in Ridden pony classes and Show Hunter pony classes must be presented at the veterinary box along with their height certificate between the hours of 7.00am and 8.00am on Saturday 18 May to declare as competing. Failure by the exhibitor or their agent to present their pony with the correct measurement certificate and to declare their intentions to compete in their appropriate class at these times will result in disqualification from the class. In this case there will be no refund of entrance fee. All children with ponies entered in classes 59-61 and 64-66 may be asked to unsaddle, saddle and lead their ponies unassisted. All ponies in Classes 62 & 63 to be shown in snaffle bridle ie single ring snaffle. Balmoral Show is a qualifier for the Ponies (UK) championship to be held at Stonleigh Park, Warwickshire August 2019. Qualifying classes with ponies UK are: A11 Brineton Ridden Show Pony Summer Championship. (Classes 64-66) A12 Timberwolf SHP Summer Championship. (Classes 59-61)
