Riders not to have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year. 58 PONY, MARE or GELDING, [lead rein] 4 years old and over, not exceeding 123cms. Riders not to have attained their 8th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Ponies must be led by persons aged 16 years and over and should be on a loose rein a 59 PONY, MARE or GELDING, [first ridden] 4 years old and over, not exceeding 123cms, suitable for and to be ridden by children who have not attained their 10th birthday before 1st January in the current year. No cantering allowed except for individual pe 61 PONY, MARE or GELDING, 4 years old and over, exceeding 128cms and not exceeding 138cms. Riders not to have attained their 15th birthday before 1st January in the current year. 62 PONY, MARE or GELDING, 4 years old and over, over 138cms and not exceeding 148cms. Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before 1st January in the current year. S41 CHAMPION PRIZES, £50 and £25- for the Champion and Reserve Champion in the Show Hunter Pony Classes. 1st and 2nd prizewinners in classes 55 to 57 are eligible to compete. S42 CHAMPION PRIZES, £50 and £25- for the Champion and Reserve Champion in the Ridden Pony classes, 1st and 2nd prizewinners in classes 58 to 62 are also eligible to compete.

RIDDEN PONIES SPONSORED BY EVENTSEC Entry Fees: RUAS Member £65.00, Non Member £70.00 Stabling is included in the entry fee in these classes. Ponies entered in classes 58-62 will not be eligible to also enter in classes 63-66. Ponies entered in the Show Hunter pony classes 55 to 57 may also be entered in class 63-66. Entries will be limited to the first 20 received in each class. If insufficient entries received in the Show Hunter Pony classes the classes will be combined. Only ponies in possession of a current height or final measurement certificate appropriate to their class may compete. This certificate should be issued in the current year by the JMB, SJAI or IPS or a certificate issued by a society or scheme approved by the FEI or issued by a National Federation affiliated to the FEI or a certificate issued by a society of scheme approved by such National Federation. (see regulation 104) All ponies competing in Ridden pony classes and Show Hunter pony classes must be presented at the veterinary box along with their height certificate between the hours of 7.00am and 8.00am on Thursday 12 May to declare as competing. Failure by the exhibitor or their agent to present their pony with the correct measurement certificate and to declare their intentions to compete in their appropriate class at these times will result in disqualification from the class. In this case there will be no refund of entrance fee. All children with ponies entered in classes 55-57 and 60-62 may be asked to unsaddle, saddle and lead their ponies unassisted. All ponies in Classes 58 & 59 to be shown in snaffle bridle ie single ring snaffle. Balmoral Show is a qualifier for the Ponies (UK) championship to be held at Stonleigh Park, Warwickshire from August 2016. Qualifying classes with ponies UK are: S11 Brineton Ridden Show Pony Summer Championship. (Classes 60 to 62) S12 Timberwolf SHP Summer Championship. (Classes 55 to 57)
